From our two day beginner windsurfing course to 5 week intensive Instructor training, we have courses to suit any level of windsurfer.
Who needs soft sand and the sun beating down on your back when you've got what Scotland's famous for? Not shortbread, not tartan...but wind! On the banks of Loch Ken our training bay is in the perfect position to catch the South Westerlies in a safe and controlled environment.
All our instructors hold the internationally recognised RYA Start Windsurfing Instructor qualification and a current water based first aid certificate as a minimum. Above that you're guaranteed to find the friendliest and most enthusiastic windsurfers in Scotland!

You can enjoy this activity as one of our taster sessions. For your convenience,
we run two half day sessions each day at the following times. The timings include getting kitted up with wetsuits and equipment:

windsurfing Taster Session
We'll provide you with a wetsuit (although you'll need your own shoes) and then give you a introductory brief before letting you loose on the water! There'll always be one of our enthusiastic RYA Scotland Windsurfing Instructors on hand in a power boat to offer tips and keep you safe while you're on the water.

Wetsuits are provided for this activity and you will get changed at the start of your session. Make sure you bring along swimwear for underneath, footwear you don't mind getting wet* and a towel for afterwards. If you don't have swimwear with you, then an extra pair of spare underwear will be fine.
*Old trainers are fine if you don't have wetshoes, however it must be something enclosed which protects the toes, soles and has a closure around the back of the foot so it can't come off.
windsurfing Taster Session
There's certainly no upper age limit! With today's wide modern boards your first steps to becoming a windsurfing master are not as hard as you might think. That being said, very young children can struggle - especially at the beginning and end of the year when it's colder in the water.

We run windsurfing sessions throughout the summer and we're happy to go out for a splash in Autumn and Spring too - if you're game then we are, and we've been told that Scotland's as warm as the med if you close your eyes and believe!
