This is the 13th year of our annual charity Wild Swim weekend and we're delighted to announce the much anticipated Loch Ken 10k end to end swim between Galloway Activity Centre and Crossmichael.
This year the swim is in aid of the Galloway Mountain Rescue Team
Sunday 7th September
Loch Ken is known to be one of the cleanest Loch's in Scotland and has become a favorite spot for Wild Swimming.
We use Sport Ident timing chips to give you an accurate time and allow us to account for every swimmer over the 10km stretch. These are issued at the start of the race and included in the fee.
Swimmers will be asked to submit their expected time and will be grouped accordingly. Each wave of swimmers has their own dedicated safety team and every swimmer has their own 1:1 kayaker
We are an AALA licensed, RYA Training Centre with over 35 year's experience on the water. Safety cover will be provided by our experienced safety boat drivers, a 1:1 ratio of kayaks to swimmers and first responders
