The Galloway Activity Centre provides a range of adventurous activity trips for school groups in a safe and fun environment. Whether residential or day trips our school activity programmes focus on fun activities that develop new skills, build confidence and provide team based outdoor learning experiences.
From two days to a full week, there's no better end to the term than an outdoor adventure in the heart of Scotland. All meals, accommodation and activity programme provided.
Popular with local Scottish schools but we see day visits from all over the UK. We can run anything from an exciting blast on the waterpark to a full day of action packed adventure.
Pupils can leave a 2 or 5 day residential activity holiday with a National Governing Body cerficiate in Sailing, Windsurfing or Paddle Sports
We have exciting activity programmes for both Primary and Seconday school ages and also specialise in inclusive activities for young people with additional needs.
We're excited to be one of the first activity centre's to offer this unique environment focussed award. Pupils "Discover, Share, Conserve and Explore" in an action filled adventure week while appreciating the natural world by paddle, sail, bike and on foot.
Our staff are all qualified outdoor activity instructors, all are chosen for their enthusiasm, friendliness and professionalism. We have a mix of highly experienced outdoors professionals, enthusiastic younger instructors and paid work placements making their way into the industry; all of whom are great role models and we wouldn't be the centre we are without them.
Our staff all hold current water based first aid certificates and go through in house rescue training in addition to their individual qualifications. We're fully AALA licenced, AIM insured and governed and inspected by our various governing bodies. We're proud of the safety record we've built up over the years and you can rest assured you're in safe hands.
